Fast Ethernet WDM Bridge 10/100-TX/FX
Fast Ethernet Bridge (Layer 2) for the connection of 10 MBit and 100 MBit segments in an Ethernet network.
Main application is the segmentation and the speed adaptation (10/100 MBit and full/half duplex) of network connections. Main application of this simplex version are Fiber To The Home (FTTH) projects. The end user can use with a standard 10/100 Base-TX interface copper internet services, Video on demand and VoIP applications. The bridge has an integrated memory of 1 MBit (128 kByte).
This memory is used dynamic for storing the data packets and network addresses. The configuration of the copper port can be done by the autonegotiation protocol or manually with the integrated DIP switches.
The fiber port can be configured manually to half or full duplex mode. Due to the integrated autocrossing function of the twisted pair port it is not necessary to use crossed and 1:1 patch cables.
The bridge detects the pinout automatically and configures itself.
