The MICROSENS Converter Module Multimode/Single mode is based on Wavelength Division Multiplexing technology (WDM).

The use of 1300nm and 1500nm wavelengths enables parallel transting and receiving of data on a simplex FO line.

The use of MM/SM Converter Module offers advantages in existing networks, for example to transfer two different Services on only one existing duplex route or to optimise the costs of Leased Lines (double bandwidth on existing line).

The transparency makes it possible to extend the field of application to every LAN and WAN solutions, for example Fast Ethernet, ATM, Gigabit Ethernet and ISDN E1/T1.

This allows the simultaneous transmission of different services (voice and data) on a duplex FO Line, particularly for existing City Networks, Backbones and Leased Lines.
