The MICROSENS miniature transceiver allows the optical transmission of asynchronous RS-232 signals. It is compliant with the V24 (RS-232) standard.

Particularly important for industrial use, optical fiber offers immunity against noise and interference and protection against tapping, even at high data rates. Fiber also provides total galvanic isolation between transmitter and receiver.

Available with ST-connectors for optical fiber, the transceiver allows distances of up to 2 km to be covered.

An additional version of the transceiver for single mode fiber is also available.

The module compactness permits it to be plugged directly onto the serial port of a PC.

Owing to its compactness the module can be plugged directly on to the serial port of a PC. Three LEDs indicate the status of the mini transceiver and the activity on the data lines.
