RS-232/V.24 Fiber Multiplexer Module
The MICROSENS RS-232 Multiplexer enables the transparent transmission of four RS-232/V.24 interfaces including hardware-handshake via a duplex optical fiber.
The transmission per channel is full duplex with a maximum of 38,4 kBit/s.
Especially important is the cost effective connection of serial computer terminals by means of optical fiber. With one multiplexer up to four terminals can be connected by a duplex optical fiber. In case of migration to FO cabling existing terminals can be used, which enables the coverage of distances of up to 2 km.
The multiplexers are used in pairs. The connection of the end devices is optionally possible via a multiplexer desktop-unit or via an installation multiplexer for mounting in floor tanks or cable channels.
The MICROSENS RS-232 Multiplexer is available as insertion module for the modular 19“ Plug-in system.
Versions for V.11 and SS97-interfaces are optionally available.
